I quickly told this story on my Facebook Page, but there were such awesome coincidences for this session to happen, I just have to retell it!

Cassie (Liam's mom) first contacted me for a newborn shoot of Liam, which we never got around to do, so, once, jokingly, she teased that she was going to Florida and would love to have family photos done at the beach. Coincidence #1: It so happened that I, too, was going to Florida, as a first stop on my way to Brazil! It was meant to be! So Cassie and I worked out the details and I was already thrilled to photograph Liam, even before I ever met him!

Coincidence #2: Fast forward to the day I was leaving. We were at the airport and I was sitting by the gate, waiting to board the plane. The concierge assistant started paging someone: "Ms. Cassie G., please report to the airline desk, Ms. Cassie G." And I was thinking "no way this is her! What are the odds that she's on the same flight as us!?" So I watched as no one showed up... Hum... I let it go. Then, a little later, a couple with a stroller arrives, saying hello to another couple that was already there. They went to the desk and introduced themselves. It looked like it would be them, but I had never met Cassie before, so, Sherlock Holmes I am, I pulled up my phone and looked her up on Facebook: "that's her!", I tell Chris. I was quite excited and wanted to jump up and down and say "Cassie, it's meeee! Laine!" I didn't though, thanks to Chris... He told me to keep my cool... (Geez...)

So we all boarded and, luck of the draw, Chris is sitting next to the gentleman that was travelling with Cassie, the one who was there before they arrived. I could not wait any longer: "Excuse me, that lady that showed up later, the one you are travelling with, is her name Cassie?" He says "Yeah, that's my daughter!" TA-DAAAH! At that point, I introduced Chris and myself to Cassie's dad, met her mom (across the aisle from us) and was told her seat (Cassie's) was the one next to us - coincidence #3, but since they had split her and Skylar, they changed seats with her parents so they could have their first flight as a family of 3 together! (How sweet is that?) :)

We talked and shared some stories during the 3h flight and, not soon enough, Liam came to hang out with grandma and grandpa! I got to see him close-up for the first time! I thought right away that he was the cutest!

Upon arrival, I finally met Cassie and Skylar in person, as we were all collecting our luggage. We said our short good-byes: we met again a few days later at Lover's Key Park.

It rained a bit, but then this beautiful sunshine came through! We photographed along the park's path that leads to the beach. Liam was dressed as a big boy - matching his dads clothes - and was all smiles when grandma and grandpa, who accompanied us, called his name.

Dad cuddled him after mom, and once rested, he woke up just in time for the sunset and the first time ever he had sand between his toes.
