Beka is one of my oldest friends from childhood. We grew up as neighbors and pretty much sisters from different parents. She just got engaged to Gustavo (Guga) while I was there in Brazil - it was actually a surprise engagement (to me!) They set up the whole party behind my back while I was invited for dinner at my cousin Aline's house (they live in the same building). I found out, upon arrival, that there was no dinner at my cousin's, but Beka & Guga's official engagement! It was a big surprise and my special gift to them was a one-of-a-kind photo session.

Beka is one of those people who are absolutely beautiful inside and out. Guga is calm and quite shy, but was letting loose by the end of our shoot. They are very much in love and it's invigorating to watch how they interact with each other.

These were all taken in Recife Antigo (Old Recife) and Olinda (the neighbor city to Recife). In some shots, you can see the ocean peeking through behind them. <3
