Live Music: The Killers at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium, St. Paul - Photos by Laine TorresI LOVE The Killers. About 5 years ago I got tickets to go see them, I believe at the U of M. I had purchased those months in advance and was so excited, only to miss out after Chris got sick on the day of the show and no one could attend in his place. I considered going alone, but ended up staying at home and feeling frustrated. Not that it was Chris' fault, (poor guy! He got really sick!) but because I do love them and had been looking forward to that show for a long time. Well, guess who came back to Minnesota after what felt like forever? :D The show was amazing! Yes, I was a fan and loved their music, but after seeing them live, not only am I completely hooked on several of their songs (and I mean I listen to them every single day! It could get annoying, but really, I just can't get enough!), I have also developed a major platonic crush on Mr. Flowers. <3
I have attended tons of concerts - it's one of my favorite things to do - and The Killers are, for sure, one of the bands I will come out and see every single time I can. If you get the chance, you should too. And as they play "For Reasons Unknown" (one of my all-time favorites), "Runaways" (my latest favorite) and "Somebody Told Me" (a classic!), please, oh please, think of me. :) Take a look at some of the shots I grabbed at the show:
