Weekend Trip to Colorado - Beautiful Travel Photography by Laine TorresVisiting Colorado for the first time was like entering a movie or a puzzle. I don't think I have ever said "wow" and "stunning" as much in my life. Check it out:
Scenic View by Colorado Springs, on our way to Garden of the Gods Every now and then a photographer must pick up the camera for something personal, and since travel photography has a piece of my heart, Chris and I went to Colorado for a long weekend mini-vacation, just so I could marvel at these gorgeous views.
Garden of the Gods was packed, but I managed to get a photo with no one in it (I think) :)
Here you can see someone rock climbing (it should give you an idea of how big this rock really is!)
A visitor to the park was nice enough and offered to take our photo with my cellphone. That's when I met Emma, who became my instant-friend - isn't she cute? :) After leaving Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, we headed to Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, in Cañon City. The drive was beautiful and the view from the bridge, just priceless. Chris and I attempted a few shots with my tripod and timer:
And a cellphone selfie (LOL):
Heading back to Denver had its perks too. Along the way we pulled up to the side of the road and watched the sunset:
Twin Lakes (Leadville) was the most beautiful stop, in my opinion. I loved finding this hidden gem:
We stayed there for a while <3
But we were really on our way to Aspen, to see Maroon Lake and the Maroon Bells. This is the view as you drive up a mountain right before Aspen:
Stunning, right? And after a 6h drive (with tons of stops), we made it to Maroon Lake:
That was fun :) We hiked around and I volunteered to photograph all kinds of strangers with their most varied types of cameras. Then I took some more photos of my own:
Maroon Bells behind us, and the little colorful surprises as we hiked around the park:
And here is the last photo of this amazing place:
The next day we still made it to Red Rocks National Park:
Unfortunately we couldn't make it to a concert because we had a flight to catch! Thank you, Colorado! Nice to meet you and your beautiful landscapes!

Hi Elda,
Thank you so much for your kind words! The vacation truly was too short but very much wonderful, just like all the great things in life. I'm happy you enjoyed looking at these images because I poured my heart and soul into each of them. Thanks again and a big hug to you, -Laine
Oh Laine, these photos are breathtakingly beautiful! The colors between the sky, the rocks, the trees.... and the way you have the mountains framed in the photo...goodness, so beautiful. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these!!!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful vacation with us! P.S. My favorite fun one is the selfie where Chris looks happy and you look goofy! It was hard to choose a favorite mountain photo, however if I had to choose, I think it would be the one BELOW the one with the sun shining through. That one has water, trees, blue sky and so many gorgeous clouds!!!
