Headshots for Katy Jo Turner, Upcoming Book Author in Minneapolis, MNThis is Katy. We met at a networking conference hosted by WIN, a couple of years ago. She had just started her job at Beaver's Pond Press, and was assigned to man a table at the conference. I approached her and asked if she would like to attend different breakout sessions than me, and then get together and trade notes, to help cement what we had just learned. And so we did, and have met on many other occasions as well: for drinks, sushi and inspiration. Our next get-together includes Halloween, next month. I have admired Katy from the moment we met. She is beautiful and elegant. And she is probably tired of hearing me say that, especially because I also occasionally poke fun at her (about how beautiful she is), but I really do mean it! And you, dear reader, will agree with me - Sorry Katy! :) She is also incredibly smart and thoughtful. Full of ideas, daring and well-spoken. She is a writer, currently working on her first book, and I have no doubt her work will be a reflection of that. When she contacted me for her author photo, I was very excited that she picked me for the job, and that I got to be a part of this dream of hers. These are some of my favorite photos from our session:
Her book is titled "Who-o-o Cooks For You", and it is a children's book about a hungry barred owl (how cute is that?). Look for your copy early next year. Click here to like her Facebook Page and receive news about her publication.
