As a photographer I depend heavily on referrals and recommendations of past clients to meet new clients, because being found online is no easy task, I have to say.

But not this time, actually, when Michaela, the Marketing Coordinator for Great Southern Bank (HQ in MO) booked me for professional headshots for their Maple Grove branch. That's where I met Market Managers Tammy & Carl. Isn't the internet just wonderful? :)

This was a special session because it was requested that I photograph both professionals in front of a soft box, most likely to match those of the other employees photographed out of state, by a different photographer, I imagine.

So after a brief consultation, we scheduled the session for the following week, and even though I have photographed a wide range of professionals, this was my first time photographing in an actual bank!

We setup in their conference room, and went over different poses and angles with each person. 

Because Tammy was wearing white, I was glad that I had brought my gray background with me, and was able to use a different setup for her. I still photographed her with the soft box, but the photos with the gray backdrop were more flattering and a better match to her outfit. I offered both options in a proof gallery so they could choose what they liked best, and both Tammy and Michaela decided to follow my recommendations.

Carl was wearing a nice darker suit, so the photos in front of the soft box turned out pretty nice as well. They ended up choosing one of each for more variety.

Doing what I do is never boring - always meeting new people, shooting in different locations and fulfilling different requests. In the end, I really enjoy providing clients with photos they need AND love. Check them out:
